1887, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV291306.
Now water filled. Very extensive workings, suggesting long history of quarrying. Plans to reopen workings. Not marked on os 25" (1887) and (1905) maps.(memo).

The Scatter Rock quarry at Christow Common, which opened in 1914, continued to flourish during the 1920s, and didn’t finally close until 1950. The other roadstone quarries closed during the 1930s.
