Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The Tithe Map depicts a slightly larger pond at Hayford.
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
The late 19th century historic map depicts the pond, which again is shown larger than on the modern map.

The early 20th century historic map shows the pond at a very similar size to the modern mapping, so it may have been reduced in size since the earlier depictions, or they may have been slightly inaccurate.
