Full description

Only five houses built on south side of Queen Street, at west end.

Terrace of nine artisan houses.1902-3. Identical with nos 1 -7 except that the brick is a darker red. Original doors at all the houses. Old knockers at nos 4 - 16. Old letterboxes at nos 2, 4, 8, 14. Windows complete with original sashes and dormers with original casements. Interiors not inspected. These were Heathcoat-built houses. Ordnance Survey 25 inch map of 1903 shows only nos 10 - 18 as built.

In 1901 plans were prepared by the architect A. E. Cole for two rows of nine houses each to be built on Helling's Fields to the south-west of St Paul's Church, thereby forming Queen Street. Other details: Figure 2.
