Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Pound marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. A rectangular area on the east side of the road at the north-east corner of an orchard.

The relics of the village pound still stand at the corner of Lower Lane and Marsh Road. The income of the pound was given by the last Lord of the Manor to his wife in 1835.

Site visit 8th October 1992. Nothing is visible now although a slightly depressed trackway runs into the field from the south - unlikely to be associated with pound.
