Vis=7/10/1992 (simpson and noble) circular earthwork bank on prominent end of spur set slightly on n hillslope. Height of bank 2.40m (max) where no trees - 0.50-0.60m. Dimensions n-s 19.20m, e-w 20.10m. Terraced trackway runs around n and e sides to lead onto top of hill (shown on os 1:25,ooo) local legend says witches were burnt here, burnt stumps were visible when scything in the early part of the 20th century. Locally known as the "devils frying pan".
