An earthwork pit of a post-medieval to modern clay pit is visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Courtmoor Farm. The large irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 147m in length by 77m in width and is partly depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthwork is located in an area where other similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. The area is now defined as a series of ponds on the 2016 Ordnance Survey MasterMap.
