Clay pits of likely post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Corrymoor Farm. The two earthworks are situated either side of an historic field boundary. That to the north, which is depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s, is semi-circular in shape and measures approximately 54m in length by 36m in width. That to the south, which is largely obscured by tree cover, is irregular in shape and measures approximately 110m in length by 63m in width.
