An earthwork bank and pit feature of uncertain date is visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Brimley Linhay. The earthworks comprisesan oval shaped earthwork pit or slight cutting, approximately 39m in length by 33m in width, which is partly encompassed by an outer semi-circular earthwork bank, approximately 20m in width. The earthworks may be the result of post-medieval to modern extraction, such as a marl or gravel pit, as a number of such features are depicted within the vicinity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthworks are visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs captured in 2014.
