Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1948, to the northwest of Birch Oak Farm. The earthworks, which are north to south aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.12 hectares of north facing slope, may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. The earthwork banks are not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey and may have since been completely levelled.
