A linear structure, less than a metre wide, is visible to the north of Bovisand Battery on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards. It appears to be a boundary wall enclosing the battery, constructed in the late-19th century but does not appear to have a clear defensive purpose. It may abut the bridge that crosses the ditch to the east.
