Vis=-/1/1992 (pye) stairway leads northwards upslope towards sx45se-451 and westwards downslope to rear of searchlight. According to 1896 war office os map a path continued southwards along the contour and into the north-west gate of staddon point battery. Both stairways heavily overgrown; westwards one originally closed off with iron gate. Remains of a small masonry building adjoining the junction (plymouth fortress survey).
