Summary

Part of the settlement to the south of the road. Measures 6.2 metres in diameter internally and walls survive to a height of 0.4 metres and width of 1.2 metres. An entrance gap exists on the southern side of the circle.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut circle FF measures 8.0 meters in diameter, with 1.5 metre wide walls, remaining to a height of 0.3 meters and is of double walled type. The walls are quite overgrown, otherwise condition is fair. Entrance on the south side.

Hut circle within a large partially enclosed settlement, terraced into the hill slope. Simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 5.4 metresmetres in diameter and is defined by a 1.6 metre wide wall standing up to 0.4 metres high. A south-south-west facing gap in the surrounding wall may represent the original doorway.
