Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Site of 'Almshouses' is shown on 19th century map as a group of irregular shaped buildings on the east side of the road around an irregular shaped yard with a pump shown as 'P'. A group of small buildings is shown along the west side of the road with several small enclosures.

Additional buildings at 'Almshouses' are shown on the early 20th century map including a large building extending to the south on the west side of the road.
