Jenkinson, T., 2003 - 2010, Totnes to Chudleigh A381/B3193 (Report - Survey). SDV347804.
Site visit 17th April 2004. Milestone on A381circa 50 metres south-west of Red Post Cross, close to roadside, against wall on east side of road. Legend reads 'To/Newton/V/Miles' on the left hand face and 'To/Totnes/III/Miles' on the right. Generally in good condition although very close to road edge. Black paint residue in letters and numbers of deep cut inscription. Small 's' above the 'e' in Totnes. One of number of sturdy granite milestones erected by the Totnes and Bridgetown Pomeroy Turnpike Trust circa 1824-1832.
