Summary

This stone hut circle is situated on the northern edge of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement and was excavated in 1895. The building is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan and coursed walling type. The interior of the structure measures 5.2 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.4 metres wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. This structure lies at the junction of three boundary walls forming part of an irregular aggregate field system. The doorway into the hut, faces south.

24/8/1950 (SX 5813 7250) Hut B (8.5 metres diameter). Apparently of single wall type, (maximum 1.5 metres in width, 0.7 metres high) much overgrown. Entrance appears to be to the south. Condition good.
There is no sign of another hut circle (given the letter C by the Ordnance Survey) which was thought to be nearby.

This stone hut circle is situated on the northern edge of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement, on a south-west facing slope. The building is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan and coursed walling type. The interior of the structure measures 5.2 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.4 metres wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high. This structure lies at the junction of three boundary walls forming part of an irregular aggregate field system. The doorway into the hut, faces south. This stone hut circle survives comparatively well and forms part of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement situated within an area containing a large number of settlements. The hut lies at the junction of three field boundaries and may therefore contain information concerning the development of this settlement.
