Summary

The interior of the hut is oval in shape, measures 6.3 metres long by 3 metres wide and is defined by a 1.5 metres wide wall standing up to 0.4 metres high. The doorway faces south and is lined on the east with slabs. This stone hut circle survives comparatively well and is one of the few oval huts within the settlement.

Thirty-six stone hut circles and an irregular aggregate field system forming part of an unenclosed stone hut circle settlement 450m north of Hart Tor.
Stone hut circle at SX 58187252 within a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement. The building is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan and single orthostat walling type. The interior of the structure is oval in shape, measures 6.3m long by 3m wide and is defined by a 1.5m wide wall standing up to 0.4m high. The doorway faces south and is lined on the east with slabs.
This settlement was partially excavated in 1895 by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, but it is not known which huts were investigated.
This stone hut circle survives comparatively well and is one of the few oval huts within the settlement.

This monument includes 36 stone hut circles dispersed within an irregular aggregate field system situated on a gentle west-facing slope overlooking the valley of the River Meavy and forming part of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement between Hart Tor and Devil's Bridge.
