Summary

Hut circle terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and single orthostat walling. Internal diameter 5.0 metres. Wall 1.7 metres wide, 0.5 metres high. Western length of wall has seen limited damage and survives largely as a buried feature.

24/8/1950 (SX 5818 7241) Hut A/1 (4.5m diameter, walls maximum 0.2m high). Small, much overgrown and only a few small stones visible. Condition fair. Entrance to the south.

This monument includes 36 stone hut circles dispersed within an irregular aggregate field system situated on a gentle west-facing slope overlooking the valley of the River Meavy and forming part of a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement between Hart Tor and Devil's Bridge.
