A coastguard station is first labelled and illustrated on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. A similar arrangment of buildings are also illustrated and labelled on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The buildings shown on the Ordnance Survey Master Map seem to have largely retained the layout shown on the earlier First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps, but the site is now labelled as an 'Old Coastguard Station.'
