Name:Hut circle X in settlement north of Hart Tor

Summary

Stone hut circle within a large unenclosed stone hut circle settlement. Terraced into the hillslope and is of the straight porch plan and single orthostat walling type. The interior of the structure measures 5m in diameter and is defined by a 1.4m wide wall standing up to 0.7m high. The doorway faces west and a 4m long straight porch, composed of large stones, extends from its southern side. This is one of only two huts within the monument with a surviving porch.

24/8/1950 (SX 5826 7244) Hut X (8.5m diameter, walls 1.0m wide, 0.3m high). Remains of walls much overgrown; entrance not apparent. Condition fair, much despoiled.
