Summary
Hut was excavated by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in the late 19th century, only charcoal was found. Hut measures 6.0 metres in diameter, with a double orthostat and rubble wall 1.7 metres wide, 0.7 metres high. Entrance probably to south-south-east side.

Full description
Baring Gould, S., 1898, Fifth Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, 103 (Article in Serial). SDV337066.
Hut number 4 was excavated by the Committee. Measures 5.2 metres in diameter, it has an entrance facing south. The circle was partially paved, mostly over the southern half. A little charcoal only was found.

(25/8/1950) One of a group of 17 hut circles, given the letter 'E'. Double wall type of turf-covered stones diameter 6.5 metres, wall width 1.5 metres, height 0.5 metres. The wall on the west side in good condition, the remainder fairly good. Entrance probably to south-south-east side.
