Summary

Vis=23/8/1993 (simpson + blackmore) fieldname recorded as dyehouse mead in tithe apportionment book (no 639). This field is now part of a much larger field, as several field boundaries have been removed to the se. Dyehouse mead is at the base of the hillslope. A terrace, probably of natural origin, is visible above the flood plain and would be a good site for a building although no evidence for a building survives. A stream runs from uphay farm along the sw boundary of this field to join the river axe (emafu).

Vis=23/8/1993 (simpson + blackmore) fieldname recorded as dyehouse mead in tithe apportionment book (no 639).
