Summary
Hut circle partially excavated by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in the late 19th century. Gerrard (2000) records a diameter of 8.4 metres. Double orthostat wall 1.5 metres wide, 1.0 metre high. A 200 degree facing gap with a leaning orthostat on the north-west side represents a doorway. The interior of the east side of the hut has been subdivided into two compartments formed by a rubble wall measuring 1.2 metres wide and up to 0.3 metres high. The northern room is 2.5 metres long by 2.1 metres wide and the southern room is 4 metres long by 2.3 metres wide. Grass and rushes.

Baring Gould, S., 1898, Fifth Report of the Dartmoor Exploration Committee, 104 (Article in Serial). SDV337066.
Excavation of hut number 7 was started but not completed, due to poor weather.
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE41 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV276070.
(25/8/1950) One of a group of 17 hut circles, given the letter 'G'. Large double walled type diameter 9.5 metres, wall width 1.75 metres, height 0.6 metres of large granite slabs, some turf-covered. In the centre are a number of partly buried stones, which may have been thrown down or may be remains of a partition wall. Condition good. Entrance on south side.

Stone hut circle forming part of a partially enclosed stone hut circle settlement at Yes Tor Bottom, 1120 metres east-north-east of Criptor.
