Summary

Hut circle terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling. Internal diameter 2.3 metres, wall 1.6 metres wide, 0.4 metres high. Doorway survives as a gap in south-south-west wall.

Hut circle terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling. Internal diameter 2.3 metres, wall 1.6 metres wide, 0.4 metres high. Doorway survives as a gap in south-south-west wall.

Butler's hut 9; the smallest building (measuring 2.6 metres) lies just eight metres from the Walkhampton Common East reave bounding the settlement on this side.
One of twelve hut circles lie in an exposed position just below the Princetown Railway track. Partially explored by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee they had previously been much pulled about by stone cutters.
