Full description

Whiting, F. E., 1948, Bideford Bridge, 28 (Article in Serial). SDV18901.

A Maltese cross with a carving of the Virgin and Child was erected on the south parapet of Bideford Bridge. It disappeared in 1638 when the bridge was repaired and the walls of the parapet were raised.
