Summary

Conjoined stone hut circle. Terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling. Interior of southern structure of 2.8 metres in diameter with walls 2 metres wide by 0.5 metres high. Northern structure is composed of two compartments: western one measures 6.2 metres by 1.4 metres, eastern one 2.2 metres diameter with an entrance from northern structure facing east

(SX 5769 7076) Conjoined stone hut circle. Terraced into hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling. Interior of southern structure measures 2.8m in diameter; wall 2m wide, 0.5m high. Northern structure is composed of two compartments: western one measures 6.2m by 1.4m, eastern one 2.2m diameter. Doorway from northern structure faces east.

Double hut circle '5' of 5.8 metres diameter seems to be the only important building within Settlement 'C' at 'Raddick Hill West'.

This monument includes an enclosure, ten stone hut circles, a clearance cairn and a length of field boundary situated on a gentle south west facing slope of Raddick Hill overlooking the valley of the River Meavy.The stone hut circles are composed of stone and earth banks surrounding an internal area. Nine of the huts are circular in plan and one is oval. The internal diameter of circular huts varies between 2.6 metres and 4.7 metres. The oval hut measures 2.7 metres long by 1.3 metres wide. The height of all the surrounding walls varies between 0.4 metres and 0.6 metres. Three of the huts are linked to the enclosure walling and appear to pre-date it. Seven of the huts have visible doorways and one has an annexe.
