Ironpits visible on RAF 1947 AP on SW side of road.
Exeter Archaeology, 1995, Blackdown Hills ironworking survey (Report - Survey). SDV341876.
Visited 20/2/1995. Abundant circular and sub-circular depressions in the ground, average dimensions 2.5 - 6m diameter and up to 1m deep, representing quarry pits. The area is now a conifer plantation.
