Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950 - 1955, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

Hut Circle S is of double walled type, measuring 4.5 meter in diameter, with 1.25 meter wide walls, remaining up to a height of 0.4 meters. It is a small circle, composed of large turf covered rocks, with an entrance on the south side. In good condition.

Hut circle within a large partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into the hill slope and is of the simple plan; single and double orthostat walling type. Interior is oval, 3.5 meters by 2.5 meters and is defined by a 1.0 meter wide wall standing up to 0.6 meters high.

Hut circle number 33 (SX55527486). Measures 3.0 meters in diameter internally and walls survive to a height of 0.5 meters and width of 1.4 meters. An entrance gap exists on the southern side of the circle.
