Summary

Part of the settlement to the south of the road, this hut lies to the south of enclosure MDV4905. A large hut in fairly good condition, it measures 7.0 metres in diameter internally and walls survive to a height of 0.5 metres and width of 1.6 metres. A possible entrance gap exists on the south-western side of the circle.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE19 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV219145.

(21/11/1950) Hut circle T (SX 5551 7492) is of double walled type, measuring 9.0 metres in diameter, with 1.25 metre wide walls, remaining to a height of 0.5 metres. It is a large circle, in a mostly very good condition, although despoiled in places. Entrance apparently on the southern side.

Hut circle within a large partially enclosed settlement. Terraced into the hill slope and is of the simple plan and double orthostat walling type. Interior measures 6.3 metres in diameter and is defined by a 1.8 metre wide wall standing up to 0.7 metres high.
