Site visited on 3rd July 1980. A hut circle at SX5627029 rather than a cairn is mainly obscured by a felled conifer and situated on a south-eastern slope near a valley bottom.
Apparently type 1 hut circle, with levelled interior 3.5 metres in diameter and rubble walling 1.1 metres wide, with a few upright slabs on the inner face. Externally the hut is 0.3 metres high on upper side, 0.6 metres on lower. No entrance visible. Probably part of a settlement, now much despoiled, of which other elements occur to south-west and west.
