Vis=-/9/1992 (rchm) field named "kiln park" in 1844 ta contains a sub-oval pair of scarps, 4m high, which result either from construction of a platform on n-facing valley side, or from extraction of material. The w half seems subsequently to have been used as a pond, which involved construction of a `u'-shaped length of bank. These earthworks were interpreted as a fishpond by windeatt + watkin (rchm).
