Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1980, SX57SE104, 31/07/1980 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV242852.

On the south-east slope below Leeden Tor a row of stones extends for 147 metres between SX5654 7146 and SX5667 7143. It is aligned up the slope towards a cairn on a bearing 284 degrees grid north.
The cairn measures 5.8 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres high, with some evidence of retaining stones on its north-east. It has been 'robbed' and is now in poor condition. The cairn is incorporated in a 'branch' reave of the Walkhampton Common Reave (MDV15038) which cuts across the row (see plan) and the reave may be the cause of the poor condition of the cairn and row.
Surveyed at 1:10 000 and at 1:2500 and 1:1000 for AO records.

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 130812, 1992 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

Visited 1992 (estimated) Round cairn, diameter 9.0 metres, height 1.0 metre. Lies on line of reave (MDV15037). A number of retaining stones visible around north-eastern edge. Appears to pre-date the reave, and is probably associated with nearby alignment (MDV50223).

Butler, J., 1994, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Three - The South-West (Monograph). SDV137656.

Scrappy remains of a single stone row now 165 metres long, descend from a badly battered cairn on the south-east slopes of Leeden Tor. The cairn is about 6.0 metres across with a large central pit and partial retaining circle.

Visited 20/04/2019. Diameter 6m. Slit trench 2m X 0.5m in middle of feature. Potential for flood/land wash damage in area directly to south Grass and small amount gorse. Very poor condition. Photo taken
Feature to west thought to be hut but now confirmed as gun emplacement at SX56507 71473

Ordnance Survey, 2019, MasterMap 2019 (Cartographic). SDV362729.

Cairn is depicted on the modern mapping which is confirmed by the aerial photographs of the feature.

National Monuments Record, 2019, Pastscape, 29/06/2007 (Website). SDV362732.

The disturbed cairn and the remnants of the stone row are gradually being overwhelmed by gorse vegetation. Surveyed at 1:2500 (citing Fletcher, M. J., 29/06/2007, English Heritage Field Investigation).
