Summary

Hut circle in settlement north of Hart Tor. Hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and single orthostat walling type. Internal diameter measures 3.0 metres. Wall 1.8 metres wide, 0.6 metres high. A length of the western wall has seen limited damage and survives as a buried feature.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE20, SX67SE20 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV276586.

Visited on 16th June 1980. Centred at SX58587244 is an open settlement of 39 huts covering nearly 5 hectares of a heather-covered south-west slope between 360 metres and 388 metres OD. Some huts are densely overgrown and in poor condition but all appear to be of Type 2.
