A scatter of prehistoric flints was found here (tm 273 whitty field) by mrs n. Pearce.

Amendment: a total of 785 was collected, 223 flint and 5652 chert. Includes flint: 4 scrapers, 6 awls, 17 blades, 1 possible arrowhead, 1 knife, 1 notched, 1 core; chert: 23 scrapers, 4 awls, 31 blades, 4 notched and 1 flint hammerstone (pearce).
