A scatter of prehistoric flints was found here (tm 325, field above church) by mrs n. Pearce.

A total of 127 pieces was collected (78 flint, 50 chert) including, flint: 4 blades, 21 awls, 1 plano-convex knife, 14 scrapers; chert: 4 blades, 7 scrapers, 1 adze, 1 knife and 1 hammer stone.
