Name:ARTEFACT SCATTER in the Parish of Stockland

Summary

A large flint scatter was found in the northern part of this field (tm 1719 : great bowden) by n. Pearce. A total of 662 pieces were found of which 149 are flint and 513 chert. The group includes flint: 28 blades, 14 scrapers, 1 arrowhead; chert: 62 blades, 11 scrapers, 1 large blade and 1 crested blade. A further 8 pieces of flint were found in the southern part of the field (tm 1732 : bowdens) none with diagnostic features (emafu).
