A scatter of prehistoric flints was found in this field (Tithe Map field No 1497 : down Close) by N Pearce. A total of 122 pieces was found (13 flint, 109 chert) including flint: 3 scrapers, 1 blade; chert: 5 scrapers, 2 blades, 1 awl. Other details: Archive.
