Full description

Gerrard, S., 1990-2002, Monument Protection Programme. Archaeological Item Dataset., MPP 130851 (Report - Survey). SDV277946.

22/02/1993 (SX 5713 6524) Hut circle forming part of an extensive prehistoric settlement. Terraced into the hillslope, and of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. Interior is oval in shape, measures 3.1m long by 1.9m wide and is defined by a 1m wide wall standing up to 0.3m high.
Attached to a 1m wide and 0.4m high stone faced lynchet, which leads west. This hut may pre-date the main phase of Bronze Age occupation, because it has clearly been partly robbed and this is most likely to have occurred in antiquity, perhaps at the time when the nearby agglomerate enclosure was being built and occupied.
