HER Number:MDV50660
Name:Pen or enclosure in prehistoric settlement south-west of Legis Tor

Summary

A sub-rectangular pen enclosure, previously described as a hut circle and a shelter (though it seems rather large for either) built into the SE interior corner of enclosure B within the multi-phase enclosure complex in Legistor Warren. The poorly defined rubble walls, which are barely visible beneath vegetation are up to 1.1m wide and 0.4m high. They are ruinous and spread and define an irregular area of approximately 7.8m by 5.2m.

22/02/1993 (SX 56946516) Post-medieval shelter attached to an agglomerate enclosure forming part of an extensive Prehistoric settlement. It is composed of rubble walling, 1m wide and 0.3m high, defining a rectangular interior area measuring 7m north-south by 5m east-west. It is possible that this structure was built on top of an earlier stone hut circle.
