Summary

One of 13 hut circles within a field system on the lower south and south-west flanks of Legis Tor. This disturbed hut measures 3.5 metres in diameter (internal) with walls 1.0 metre wide and 0.3 metres high. Gerrard (1993) and orthers have suggested that as this hut lies midway between two other buildings which may be of Neolithic date, it may therefore belong to this period.

22/02/1993 (SX 56966520) Hut circle terraced into the hillslope, and of the simple plan and rubble bank walling type. Interior measures 4m in diameter and is defined by a 1.4m wide wall standing up to 0.4m high. This hut lies midway between two other buildings which may be of Neolithic date, and it is therefore possible that this hut belongs to this period.

All but one of the huts are contained within five irregular, adjoining enclosures to the south of the settlement. The hut circles are largely integral with the enclosure banks though several are free-standing. All the huts have level interiors unless otherwise stated. Few display obvious entrances.
