Full description

1992 (SX 5619 8425) This stone hut circle is situated within an enclosure. It survives as an earthwork, is terraced into the hillslope and is of the simple plan type. The interior measures 5m in diameter and is defined by a 1.5m wide wall standing up to 0.4m high. The doorway faces east.

(27/05/2004, Fletcher M. J., English Heritage Field Investigation) Sixteen hut circles set on a fairly steep east-south-east facing moorland hillslope above a wide sheltered river valley within a fragmentary enclosure.
SX56178425 Internally 4.5m by 4.0m with a heather-covered boulder wall 0.4m high. No obvious entrances. The enclosure wall runs adjacent to the north side.
