Name:Hut circle 81, Watern Oke settlement

Summary

Location requires confirmation. Hut 81, diam 4.57m. Before digging this seemed like a hut circle but nothing was found to indicate habitation (anderson). Vis=estimated -/-/1992 (gerrard) hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling type. The interior measures 4m in diameter and is surrounded by a 1.5m wide wall standing up to 0.6m high. Excavations by the dartmoor exploration committee in 1905 revealed no traces of habitation within this building (mpp). Vis=mpp description may apply to subsheet 77 (dick).

Hut 81, external diameter 15 feet (4.57m). Before digging this seemed like a hut circle but nothing was found to indicate habitation.

(1992) SX 5667 8332 Hut circle terraced into the hillslope. Simple plan and rubble bank walling type. The interior measures 4m in diameter and is surrounded by a 1.5m wide wall standing up to 0.6m high. Excavations by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1905 revealed no traces of habitation within this building.
