Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey, OS 25" (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of 'school' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as two adjoining rectangular buildings to the north of 'St John's Church' on the south side of 'Church Road'.

The School House was built at the same time as the St John's Church to the south in 1853. The school burnt down in 1916 & was rebuilt.
