Summary

Concrete railblock visible on 1948 RAF aerial photo where the railway passed through the anti-tank ditch. A single concrete block remains in situ on the west side of the course of the former railway line. Part of the Axminster fortified area on the Second World War Taunton Stop Line.

Site visit by F. Griffith and B. Horner 22nd December 1993. A single concrete block survives in position on the west side of the course of the former railway line. A groove in the top would have held a barrier put in place in times of emergency.

No evidence found. Description on map suggested rail blocks. A lot of vegetation in the area and railway line inaccessible.
