Visited on 11th March 1993. Cairn situated within a large settlement overlooking the valley of the River Yealm. Mound measures 5 metres in diameter and stands up to 0.6 metres high. Given the proximity of this mound to nearby huts it seems unlikely that it is of a funerary character and it is more likely associated with field clearance, associated with the fragmentary field system in this area. Another, though less likely, possibility is that this feature represents a collapsed turf building of uncertain date.
