Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Leat to Marpool Mill shown on Tithe Map. However, the exact course above the spillway through plot 172 at the very upper end of the leat is not clear. No weir or sluice are depicted.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

Only the lower section of the leat to Marpool Mill is shown on the 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. It starts rather abruptly at a field boundary, although a weir and sluice are shown on the Withycombe Brook. The course of the brook is different to that shown on the Tithe Map.
