Just south of the bridge is a ruinous stone farm building which is shown on late 19th century map. Possibly built as a linhay circa 1860 when the newly enclosed marshes were divided into fields. Whiteley describes such buildings as measuring 12 feet by 30 feet with two 6 feet openings and a straw loft over. The linhays and yards in front were pitch paved. Each linhay generally served 2 fields. Other details: Plate 3.
