Full description

Collins, L., 1989, Walking the churchyards, 7 (Article in Serial). SDV337660.

Gravestones recorded 1987-88, including those which had been cleared and placed against the churchyard wall. Contained the oldest legible stone in Kingsbridge (1600).

A church at Dodbrooke is mentioned in the taxation of Pope Nicholas IV circa 1291. Any earlier building would have been dedicated or re-dedicated after the canonisation of St Thomas in 1173.
