Summary
A shooting stand on the broad floodplain of the River Taw 150m south-east of two boundary stones (SX 69 SW 63) flanking a ford. It comprises a three-sided structure of roughly coursed boulders and slabs open to the south east. It measures 3.1m north west to south east by 1.8m with the walls a maximum of 1.2m high. It is protected on all sides except the south east by a stoney mound 9.5m in diameter and up to 1.4m high. This feature lies outside the military ranges and is probably used for recreational shooting.

(02/08/1993) SX 6187 9082. A shooting stand on the broad floodplain of the River Taw 150m south east of two boundary stones (SX 69 SW 63) flanking a ford.
It comprises a three-sided structure of roughly coursed boulders and slabs open to the south east. It measures 3.1m north west to south east by 1.8m with the walls a maximum of 1.2m high. It is protected on all sides except the south east by a stoney mound 9.5m in diameter and up to 1.4m high.
This feature lies outside the military ranges and is probably used for recreational shooting.
Two similar structures (SX 69 SW 65) lie 240m to the south west.

(02/07/2002) SX 619 909 Two shooting stands c.14.5m apart. An earth mound lies c.12m to the south-east with a pit at the base. A similar structure lies to the north-east (MDV65340).
