A cropmark of a ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs of the 1980s and 1990s on a saddle of land north of Helwell Barton, Kenton. The cropmark is circa 1.5m wide, enclosing a roughly circular area approximately 10m in diameter. A cropmark of a possible pit circa 1.5m in diameter is visible within the ring ditch. The cropmark may be evidence of a round house of later prehistoric to Roman date.
