A cropmark of a ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs of 1989 and 1990s on thw south-west facing slopes of a saddle of land north of Helwell Barton, Kenton. The cropmark is circa 2m wide, enclosing a roughly circular area approximately 15m in diameter. The cropmark might be evidence of a round house of later prehistoric to Roman date. The western edge of the ring ditch was not readily identifiable and may have included an entrance.
